OpenCorporates' South Africa dataset was originally sourced from the predecessor body to CIPC, namely Companies & Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO), and is to be considered as for historical / archive purposes only, as data was gathered up to September 2014.
In September 2014, CIPC introduced terms & conditions that restricted re-use of data from the new CIPC website. This has prevented ongoing updates to South African companies in OpenCorporates.
