The purposes for which the Corporation is organized are to advocate for the support of freedom, justice and democracy in Afghanistan through active outreach to Congress, the Administration, and the American people and to promote social welfare within the meaning of section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States internal revenue law) (the "IRC"), including for such purposes, engaging in any lawful act or activity for which corporations may be organized under the District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporation Act of 2010.
