The purposes for which the corporation is organized are to promote social welfare within the meaning of section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, including but not limited to: (1) operating as a public policy research, dialogue and communications center intended to broaden the policy debate and understanding on issues related to, or of concern to, the United States and the Arabian Peninsula, with particular focus on Saudi Arabia; (2) the facilitation of scholarship, analysis and communication regarding modernization and development in Saudi Arabia and bilateral links between the United States and Arabian Peninsula, with particular emphasis on Saudi Arabia; (3) identifying and engaging scholars to conduct independent research and prepare papers on issues of importance to the United States and the Arabian Peninsula, with particular emphasis on Saudi Arabia to be presented at conferences, workshops and panel discussions; and (4) sponsoring collaborative exchanges and visits between citizens of the United States and Saudi Arabia.
