APPLICATION FOR PART A(2) PERMIT

Aggregate Industries UK Ltd has applied for a permit from Mendip District Council to continue to operate a roadstone coating process that includes the combustion of recovered fuel oil at Colemans Quarry, Holwell, Nunney, Frome, Somerset. This application results from changes made to pollution control legislation, it does not represent a change in the normal operation of the existing plant.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection during office hours, free of charge, at the council offices.
The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Any written comments on the application should be addressed to the council within 28 days of the date of the publication of this advertisement. All written comments will be placed on the public register unless they include a request that this is not done. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
