PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Aylesford Newsprint Limited, Aylesford Newsprint Services Ltd and SCA Packaging New Hythe have applied to the Environment Agency for Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permits to jointly operate the installation called Aylesford Paper Installation.
The application from Aylesford Newsprint Limited located at Bellingham Way, Aylesford, Kent ME20 7DL, is for Paper, Pulp and Board Manufacturing activities. The application from Aylesford Newsprint Services Limited located at Bellingham Way, Aylesford, Kent ME20 7DL, is for Combustion Activities. The application from SCA Packaging New Hythe Located at East Mill, Aylesford, Kent ME20 7PA, is for Paper, Pulp and Board Manufacturing actitivities. The installation is in the borough of Tonbridge and Malling in the county of Kent.
Each application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects on emissions from that part of the installation on the environment.
Information relating to the above IPPC applications for permits to operate is held on the registers at the Environment Agency, Guildbourne House, Chatsworth Road, Worthing, West Sussex BN11 1LD, and Public Register Environment Department, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, Gibson Building, Gibson Drive, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4LZ.
Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying.
Any objections or representations to the above IPPC applications should be made in writing to the Environment Agency, Orchard House, Endeavour Park, London Road, Addington, West Malling, Kent ME19 5SH.
Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
